To provide solutions in Montgomery County to ensure that homelessness is rare, brief, and nonrecurring.
To end homelessness in Montgomery County by building a community where everyone has a safe, stable, and affordable place to call home.
MCCH’s mission and vision are aligned with the federal Opening Doors plan, which is the nation’s first comprehensive strategy to prevent and end homelessness, as well as Montgomery County: Continuum of Care Ten Year Plan to End Homelessness. MCCH, in partnership with Montgomery County and other local providers, has met the first goal of the Opening Doors’ first goal of ending veteran homelessness.
We continue our partnership with Montgomery County in pursuit of the remaining goals of the Opening Doors plan:
- To end chronic homelessness by the end of 2017
- To prevent and end homelessness for families with children and youth by 2020
- To set a path to ending all types of homelessness
