Karen Caffery brings over twenty years of experience working in the human services field. Prior to MCCH, Karen was Senior Program Manager for one of the largest Housing First permanent supportive housing programs in Washington, DC, which provided services for the most vulnerable adults and families. Karen was also the Clinical Supervisor for the Bureau of Prison Federal residential Re-entry Center in Detroit, Michigan. In Detroit, Karen was also the Program Director of an intensive Outpatient Substance abuse day program for homeless adults and Program Director of a two year Transitional Housing Program for men who successfully completed an intensive ninety day residential substance abuse program. Karen previously worked as a secondary teacher in Michigan working in public schools and Job Corp. Karen earned a Bachelor’s Degree in History, a Master’s Degree in Organizational Management and attended post graduate school.
