Jay Scopin, Program Director, Home Builders Care Assessment Center Men’s Emergency Shelter

Jay Scopin retired from the Montgomery County Department of Correction and Rehabilitation, where he ended his tenure as a Deputy Chief of Pretrial Services and Manager of the Pretrial Supervision Unit. Prior to this position, he held several positions, including Resident Supervisor at the Pre-Release Center, Assessment Case Manager with the Pretrial Assessment Unit, and Case Manager at the Pretrial Supervision Unit. Jay has extensive training and experience in clinical mental health and program management. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from American University and has completed graduate studies towards a master’s in clinical social work with a sub-specialization in program management at University of Maryland.
