Susie Sinclair-Smith, Chief Executive Officer

Susie Sinclair-Smith is the Chief Executive Officer of the Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless.  Susie’s entire career has focused on ending homelessness through her work as an advocate for the homeless and a nonprofit leader in her field.

Susie has over 30 years of experience in the non-profit and philanthropic sectors focusing on ending homelessness.  She was the founding executive director of the Washington Legal Clinic for the Homeless, served with the D.C. Program and National Policy offices at Local Initiatives Support Corporation, and was the Director of Leadership and Policy Development at the Fannie Mae Foundation. She oversaw the William S. Abell Foundation’s Strategic Initiative to End Chronic Homelessness in D.C., and served as an expert consultant with the US Department for Health and Human Services for the development of the Opening Doors federal strategic plan to end and prevent homelessness.

She is a member of the Montgomery County Interagency Commission on Homeless and Chairs its Strategic Planning Committee. She holds a MPA from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, and a J.D. from Antioch School of Law.
