In addition to donating and serving meals and collecting items our clients need, MCCH offers several volunteer opportunities for our supporters.

Landscape A Home

We welcome organized groups to take on this task. This is a great “team-building” activity, and your work helps our clients be good neighbors!

Many of our residents do not own the supplies needed to properly maintain their yards, and may have physical or other disabilities that keep them from being able to perform yard work. Your landscaping project not only gives them greater self-esteem as a resident, but allows them to live with greater dignity.

Be a "Back to Work" Mentor

You can assist clients at our HBCAC men’s emergency shelter (hyperlink to program page) with basic computer skills, resume writing, online job searches and job applications, as well as  interview preparation.

Be a "GED Tutor"

A high school diploma is key for those clients who didn’t complete high school to find better employment. You can be a tutor to help them prepare for the GED exam.
